Dean Whitbread is currently working on a collection of his short stories written over the last seven years, and a novel, ‘Stan Koretski’.

Stan Koretski is a despicable anti-hero who recounts his appalling life with the wry benefit of limited but earnest repentance.

I, Stan Koretski, being of sound mind and in full possession of all my faculties – except my knees, which are weak now because of what happened – wish to explain the reasons for my current plight, hoping to find you, dear reader, at least sufficiently patient to hear my story to its end.

There was a time when I would fill the air with cursing. It would pour out of me like filth from a punctured crapsack, and poison the atmosphere all around. But, those days are gone and I cannot return to that time, even though frankly it might seem like a liberation compared to my current situation.
